Chesapeake Bay Rv Resort Thousand Trails - Campground Gloucester, Gloucester

I had a mixed experience at Chesbay Thousand Trails. The campground has a friendly atmosphere, and the ranger staff were great and helpful. However, there are maintenance issues that need addressing, and the limited availability of 50 amp sites was quite frustrating. Overall, it’s a good place for those who can find the right spot, but it does have its drawbacks.

I had a wonderful experience at this resort! The amenities are fantastic, with tons of activities for the family to enjoy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and took the time to make sure our needs were met. The only hiccup was that some facilities, like the hot tub, were still under maintenance, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s a great spot for a family getaway with a peaceful vibe.

During my stay, I found the location to be fantastic, right by the water with scenic views. The staff was very helpful, making my experience enjoyable. However, the campsite management could be more organized as the first-come-first-serve nature of the sites was quite stressful. If you’re planning to camp here, aim to arrive early to secure a decent spot, as a lack of enforcement on check-in times means sites fill up quickly.

This campground is such a hidden gem! The space for kids to play and the fun events every weekend make it a fantastic spot for families. The adult pool is spacious, and the kids' pool has lovely sprinklers. On the downside, it's not a large beach area, but the grassy spots with lawn chairs compensate for it. Overall, we’ve had some wonderful experiences here with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

I had a great time at the campground with its spacious sites and plenty of activities for the family. The indoor hot tub and the pickleball courts were fantastic. However, there were some downsides, such as the need for more maintenance and confusion over the entry gate codes. Overall, it was a fun experience, but it could be even better with a few improvements.
